I've been really really busy learning to draw the pattern to make it downloadable - ePatterns .. let me tell you; Uff!!!! its hard work and worse there is not much available online to learn from.
I'm breaking my head to learn it. There are some posts available on how to create them using illustrator or how to trace it from a hand drawn one. But....
I don't have the money for illustrator and neither I'm hand drawing one so I'm basically creating from scratch on inkscape. Its free but has a steep learning curve. I'm sure it would have been the same with illustrator as well. But yeah, I'm getting there.
Here is a glimpse of how my drafting is coming along. :)
What a mess :) Don't laugh :)
Not long for a pattern hopefully once I get this going and test a few dresses.
I already have one that I tried by just eye balling the pattern pieces, but I'd need to test this from the download - once it is ready of course
Can't wait to share it with you. :)

I too wanted to learn about e-pattern, once I get hold of my sewing skills.
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, Now I've a basic e pattern for my daughter and I make all changes to that basic pattern and trace out. Its more of one time job. Its a one time learning but a steep one - atleast for me :)
